Meghan, Harry Netflix trailer: Piers Morgan rips into couple over ‘repugnant’ docu-series

I retched when I first saw the Netflix trailer for Meghan and Harry’s new documentary series.

It was so ghastly, so repugnant, so dripping in sanctimony and fake hammy “woe-is-us” acting, that I felt my intestines physically recoil in abject disgust.

In short, it made me want to puke.

So, God knows what the Royal Family must have made of it, given they are the main targets for this latest onslaught from their renegade Californian offshoot.

Imagine bleating constantly about privacy, including repeatedly suing news organisations for intrusion, and then making a kiss-and-tell reality show about your private lives?

Or preaching endlessly about compassion, yet once again trashing your family on global television?

Since they quit Britain and royal duty, we’ve all got wearily used to the Sussexes’ incessant whining about how awful the Royals are whilst simultaneously exploiting their royal titles for gazillions of dollars to the highest bidders.

But incredibly, this trailer ends with Markle saying: “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make sense to hear our story from us?”

Sorry?

Barely a bloody week goes by without hearing their story in interviews with Oprah, on open-top bus trips with James Corden, in “not many people have asked if I’m OK” confessionals to TV journalists, or in unctuously self-aggrandising podcasts.

“No one sees what goes on behind closed doors” declares Harry, as an image pops up of weeping Meghan holding her head in her hands while speaking on the phone.

She’s seen sobbing in another picture too.

It’s obvious what this series will be attempting to do: paint this pair of shameful millionaire grifters as poor little victims horribly abused by the beastly Royals and the vile media.

“I had to do everything I could to protect my family”, Harry drones on.

Really?

All he’s done is publicly incinerate his wider family for the past two years, and now he’s lobbing barrels more petrol onto the fire with this series and his upcoming book Spare (or ‘Spare Me’ as I suspect most reviews will conclude…).

The couple’s hypocrisy is truly mind-blowing, but so is the malevolent intent.

Releasing this trailer right in the middle of the new Prince and Princess of Wales’ first, and vitally important big trip to America since the death of Queen Elizabeth II is a premeditated act of cynical public relations war designed to wreck the visit and cause maximum damage to the Royals.

I expect this kind of thing from Markle who disowned most of her own family in her ruthless stampede to fame and fortune and has now manipulated her dimwit husband to do the same to his.

But for Harry to do this to his own brother, William, is an unforgivable act of treachery.

Every time I think the Sussexes have plummeted as low as they can go, they go lower.

They’re an absolute disgrace and as I’ve said many times, King Charles should strip them of all remaining titles and cast them out from any more connection to the Royal Family – before they destroy it and bring down the Monarchy.
